Non-intrusive inspection (NII) equipment is indispensable for efficient Customs control of containers, trucks, railway wagons or small parcels. In the Digital Age, NII technology relies more and more on other cutting-edge technologies to enhance its performance, such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things, etc., and is increasingly being integrated into Customs processes.

NII equipment alone is breaking boundaries in the detection technology domain, due to the continuous desire of both original equipment manufacturers and equipment users to find innovative solutions that can help identify a variety of threats with a high detection rate.

This session aims to explore and showcase innovative technological solutions and initiatives that can enhance the effectiveness of Customs control.
