The Digital Age offers enormous opportunities for changing the way in which Customs officers at any level of the administration perform their duties. However, it requires a change of mindset and strategic thinking.
Some examples of areas witnessing rapid or more gradual change are the introduction of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, the embracing of data-driven culture and evidence-based decision making, and the growing reliance on technology for performing the Customs officers’’ daily tasks.
This session will explore how the global Customs community is keeping pace with the changing landscape, how the use of data and technology can help attract and retain talent in Customs and what the job of a Customs officer will look like in the next couple of decades.
During the session PwC will launch their new engaging paper: "Reimagining land border ports - how to take the leap?", which focuses on the key challenges and design considerations, thereby,
unlocking a cognitive framework for workplace transformation enabled by human-centric design and next-gen technology.
