Nguyen Thi Khanh Hong Viet Nam Customs

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Khanh Hong is currently working at Vietnam Customs Reform and Modernization Board of the General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC) and a WCO’s Accredited Expert on AEO. She used to work at the WCO as a Professional Associate on Intellectual Property Rights and a Lead Officer at the Compliance and Facilitation Directorate. In her latter role, she was responsible for the updating and implementation of the SAFE Framework of Standards, Air Cargo Security and AEO programmes. She was also involved in technical assistance activities in Plastic Waste Management and Coordinated Border Management. During 27 years working for Vietnam Customs, she held different positions in various fields, such as a Customs Officer in HS Classification, Assistant to the GDVC’s Deputy Director General, Deputy Project Manager of Vietnam Customs Modernization Project funded by the World Bank, Deputy Director of the Customs Modernization and Reform Board, the first Customs Counselor representing Vietnam Customs to the WCO.
