With over three decades in supply chain analysis and security management, Dan is a recognized expert in the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) program. He's versed in Security Process Design and has collaborated with key organizations like the US Government and global Customs Agencies. He's instrumental in advancing Supply Chain Network and Procedural Security principles and has helped various stakeholders achieve AEO accreditation. Dan began his career at Lufthansa Cargo, where he gained multifaceted experience in operations, finance, and marketing. He specializes in aligning supply chain optimization with financial and operational goals, creating sustainable performance. In 2001, Dan developed the curriculum for the US Customs Office of Field Operations' Supply Chain Security Specialists and authored the first AEO program. He has trained US and international customs agents extensively and received commendations for his contributions. Currently, Dan focuses on enhancing container security using advanced protocols and digital data. He's also contributing to the development of sustainable supply chain models and integrating e-commerce into existing AEO frameworks. He has led supply chain initiatives in South America and Africa, aiming for more secure and efficient borders. An active collaborator with the WCO, Dan is fluent in Italian, German, French, and Spanish. His interests include international travel, viticulture, photography, and motorcycling.
