Session 8 (Panel session): Fostering Innovation Through Collaboration

Collaboration between the government, industry, and academia is considered a key prerequisite for efficiently addressing the challenges and requirements in the area of border management, as it promotes the collection, sharing, and application of knowledge and research, to the advantage of Customs. Customs administrations around the world follow different approaches when it comes to designing, funding, and implementing research and innovation projects.

This session will highlight success stories of collaboration between Customs, industry, and academia to foster innovation in the area of Customs and border management with the ultimate objective of facilitating and securing international trade.
